Fisetin is a flavonoid found in some fruits and vegetables and has attracted attention in aging research, particularly around cellular senescence. Interest should not be confused with established clinical longevity benefit.

Why researchers study fisetin

Laboratory and preclinical work has contributed to interest in fisetin as a possible senolytic compound. Human outcomes require their own evidence, and early-stage findings should be described as such.

What “senolytic” means

A senolytic is an intervention investigated for selectively targeting senescent cells. Learn more in our senolytics guide.

Supplement considerations

Product dose, formulation, medication use and individual health context matter. Do not assume food exposure and concentrated supplemental use have identical safety profiles.

Health note: Dietary supplements are not a substitute for medical care. Evidence for an individual ingredient does not automatically establish that a multi-ingredient finished product produces the same effect.
