“Longevity supplement” is a marketing and consumer category, not proof that a product extends human lifespan. Products in the category often target pathways or compounds associated with aging research.
Common research themes
Popular themes include cellular senescence, oxidative stress, metabolic signaling, mitochondrial biology and inflammation. These are legitimate research areas, but translating a biological mechanism into a meaningful human outcome requires clinical evidence.
How to read claims
Ask whether the claim concerns a biomarker, a normal body function, symptoms, disease risk, or lifespan itself. Those are very different endpoints.

Health note: Dietary supplements are not a substitute for medical care. Evidence for an individual ingredient does not automatically establish that a multi-ingredient finished product produces the same effect.
